What Do We Think?
Think Together to Act Together ®

What Do We Think?™ helps groups think together to develop constructive answers.

Constructive answers integrate the group's diverse preferences, values, and interests to form a working agreement designed to achieve desirable outcomes and win over a large majority of the group.

Groups develop constructive answers through a transparent process of sharing, organizing, and integrating their ideas and feedback. At the same time, they strive for mutual respect, consideration, understanding, and cooperation.

Five steps to constructive answers:

1. Post a question

  • Post a question
  • Invite participants by email or sharing a link

2. Share and link ideas

  • Post your ideas about your preferences, values, and interests
  • Review similar ideas
  • Link related ideas

3. Propose an answer

  • Review clusters of related ideas for potential answers to the question
  • Propose an answer
  • Attach ideas that support, inform, or relate to your answer
  • Share your answer and invite others to collaborate with you

4. Explore and discuss your group's ideas and answers

  • Engage with others to deepen your shared understanding
  • Identify the best ideas in your group and suggest them to others

5. Integrate suggestions and feedback

  • Review suggested ideas that might be relevant to your answer
  • Engage in dialogue with others about your answer and its supporting ideas
  • Refine your answer to factor in the ideas and comments of others
